Lego seems to be having a bit of a revival and is very much a contender for the top xmas toys of 2010. It is also available in a wide range of price points, so you can buy a small lego model or a very big one depending on what you need. Clever kids will, of course, work out how to mix the kits to make their own models, but for many, it's sort of replaced the Airfix kit idea in that you buy a specific kit intended to make a specific lego model and that's all you do. This makes Lego kits a great xmas gift for younger children because they can be helped to make something that looks really good but is actually very easy to make. The bigger lego kits feature all sorts of branded products and makes including Star Wars, Terminators and more. You probably also know about the great Lego video game series including Lego Star Wars and Lego Indiana Jones amongst others.
Lego fans might also like some tickets to Legoland for christmas as well. It's a thinking outside the box sort of christmas gift and Legoland is open all year round (more or less - check the site to be sure).
